Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 12 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped and chopped
Instructions:
Warm your oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake tin
Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk
Put away
Melt the butter and mix it with the brown sugar and white sugar in a different bowl
Beat the mixture until it is smooth and creamy
One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one
Add the vanilla extract and mix well
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing in the buttermilk every so often
Mix the dry ingredients in at the beginning and end, until they are just combined
Put an equal amount of cupcake batter into each of the two bowls
Add the chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to one bowl and mix them in slowly
The creamy peanut butter should be added to the other bowl and mixed in well
To make the cupcakes look marbled, put spoonfuls of the chocolate and peanut butter batters into each liner in a certain order
To make the batter look like marble, swirl it together with a toothpick or skewer
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Let the cupcakes cool for a few minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
If you want to add more flavor, you can frost them with peanut butter frosting or chocolate ganache after they are cool
Have fun with your tasty Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cupcakes!
